No, there's no fee to become a member.

Does 85 Courier ship and offer business rates?

Yes we do! Looking to start your business or need someone to ship your goods to Jamaica all you have to do is call/email us admin@85courierja.com. 85 Courier JA Ltd advises you to contact us first before you proceed with any shipment.

What payment methods do you accept?

Currently payment can be made using bank transfer or via our POS machine. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at payment@85courierja.com

How long does it take for me to receive my package(s)?

We receive shipments 5x weekly!. After delivery at our warehouse, depending on the time of delivery, package (s) can be shipped the same day or next day. Package(s) should arrive and be cleared and ready for delivery within 48-72 hours. Any delivery done at our warehouse on Fridays package(s) are expected to be ready the following week. Kindly note that this timeline may be extended in peak seasons, or any unforeseen challenges related to airline/sea freight and customs clearance. Please ensure your invoices are submitted on a timely basis to prevent delay in clearance.

Where are your delivery locations?

We offer delivery to Kingston, Old Harbour and Longsville Park, Clarendon . A delivery fee of $500 applies for packages and $1000 for express same day delivery. Need islandwide delivery? No problem we o our Knutsford Express and TARA options (courier carrier fees apply)

How soon can I start using your service after I sign up?

Immediately after signing up and getting your address. Ensure that all of your shipments include your unique Account number. If your package/s shipped to us with an incomplete or inaccurate address this will cause delays and a fee will be added for extra handling.

Do I have to submit an invoice after shipping my parcel?

Yes, you do and this also protects you from delays or being overcharged by customs for the items. Kindly ensure the invoice reflects the price of the product/s you have purchased, name of the sellers and date of purchase. Otherwise you run the risk of your parcel being detained by customs or overcharged.

Gifts

If your item is a gift, please advise the sender to save or give you the invoice to avoid delays or extra cost at customs.

How do I know when my package is in Jamaica?

We will provide you with a notification via email / Phone that your package is ready along with your invoice. Also you can track your package using your dashboard.

Can I ship appliances?

Yes, along with your air address that you receive when you sign-up you would have also gotten your Sea Address as well that can be used for both business and personal use to ship all your heavy and larger items including car parts, furniture, barrels, boxes etc..

Do you charge for storage?

Members receive 30 days of free storage. Package/s stored past the free storage period will incur storage fees of $40 JMD per package per day. Storage fees continue to accrue until 60 days if customers fail to claim package/s, 85 Courier Ja Ltd reserves the rights to pass on all unclaimed package/s to other customers or entity/ies who are willing to claim the package/s by paying all/ any charges once it has passed its free storage period and charged storage period without being claimed. All/ any earnings will go to 85 Courier JA Ltd.

How or when will I know when my package/s are ready?

We want to keep you informed every step of the way! You will receive notifications whenever the status of your package changes, so you’re always up-to-date on your package(s) journey.

What happens if my package/s come damaged?

If a package/s was damaged during shipping to Jamaica, feel free to contact our customer service at customerservice@85courierja.com to report the damaged package and it will be investigated. Packages are required to be packaged properly by your seller. 85 Courier Ja Ltd will not be held liable if package/s are not shipped in the correct packaging to withstand the transit.

What if I want to update the delivery location?

It is important to notify us as early as possible so that we can process your request. If however our driver is already enroute to your location, this may not be possible.

What about restricted items?

Restricted items are considered hazardous or forbidden as determined by Jamaica Customs agency, IATA and the FAA. For further information about restricted items please visit the Jamaica Customs agency website or reach out to them directly for confirmation.

What if I unknowingly / knowingly order a restricted product?

If the item was shipped and arrived in Jamaica, it will most likely be seized by Jamaica Customs and destroyed. In some cases you may discuss with Jamaica Customs the possibility of obtaining a permit to allow the clearance of the item.

Can I get an estimate before I ship?

Yes, after signing up, simply go to the calculator on your dashboard and input your information and get your shipment calculated or feel free to send us an email at customerservice@85courierja.com

Where do you offer Local delivery services?

We offer delivery in Kingston & St. Andrew, and to Spanish Town and portmore.

Where are your package delivery locations?

We offer package delivery in Kingston, Old harbor and Longville park. We also ship islandwide so need to worry if you're not located in these areas. A delivery fee of $500 applies for packages and $1000 for express same day delivery on packages. Please note that there might be a slight increase if members are located out of round town areas in any of the listed areas above.

How soon can I start using your service after I sign up?

Immediately after signing up and getting your address you can start using our service. Ensure that all of your shipments include your unique Account Number failure to do so will result in delays and extra handling fee of $350 JMD. If your package/s ships with an incomplete or inaccurate address this will cause delays and your package may get delivered to the wrong address 85 Courier will not be held responsible or liable.

Do you have temperature-controlled facilities or refrigeration?

No, we do not provide temperature-controlled facilities or provide any temperature controlled storage or transportation.

*Packages with items exceeding USD$100 (shipping and taxes included) are subject to Jamaica Customs Agency Administrative Fee AND the applicable Duties, Fees and Taxes.
*All rates are billed per pound per package.
*All packages are subject to a flat handling fee of JMD$150.00
*A storage fee of JMD$150 per day will apply to all packages left over 14 days
*All rates are subject to change without notice.
*A storage fee of JMD$40 per day will apply to all packages left over 30 days
PLEASE NOTE: Packages are disbursed/delivered on a First In First Out policy. Customers who have packages for more than two flight days, upon pickup will have to collect the first package that arrived on their account or ALL packages on their account.
